Titus 3:1-5
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

As I meet more and more Bible believing Christians, I am beginning to sense how important our present time is. We live in a broken and hurting world and all around us, people are suffering in some form or the other. For some, it is physical, to some emotional, to some material. We just got back from a vacation on Vancouver Island and it was such a blessing to know that the owner of the bed and breakfast we stayed at was a passionate Christian who lived Christ every moment of her day. As we spoke, we realized how God has been using believers in present time to encourage each other and share God’s goodness to the world in ways like never before and this is completely spirit led. In these times of strife and disappointment, why is God encouraging us to remind people about being willing to be submit to those in authority, to be good to one another, to seek peace and be humble? Would the world not get us before we even try?  (more…)
