1 John 3:21-24
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

As I continue to journey with Christ and witness to the world about Him, I have found that there are many sore people out there who seem to want to avoid knowing Christ and are eager to place all the blame on Him. That really makes me mad and I sometimes wish I could shake them up to realize the truth. Today I was told by a friend that to conquer oneself is a greater victory than to conquer thousands in a battle (Buddha) and I wish every person we shared Christ with would overcome their ego. How can the world not see the truth of Jesus Christ and His unconditional offer of perfect love and total forgiveness? What is it that holds them back and is there a better technique to sharing the gospel? This is a question that has long confounded me and today, I see my quest in a new light…

When we look at the cross and reflect on what Jesus came for, we begin to understand God’s perfect love. When we examine  Jesus’ wounds and realize that our sinfulness caused Him to hurt more, we start to understand forgiveness. It is because we are sinners needing to be saved that He came to save us and the whole gospel is about love, God’s perfect love. When we live in our new selves that have been restored by Jesus, we live that we may share His love to the world who is hurting. When I share the gospel, I am not forcing a square peg into a round hole but instead I’m just shining the light of Jesus to the world and the spirit of God does the transforming, not my reasoning and wise words. We are a transformed creation referred to as Children of God but the world does not understand because they do not know God. Lets love God with all our heart and share His love with others just as He did for us.

In His Loving Service,
ServantBoy

1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

  1. Thanks Vineet, for explaining how we can feel at times . . .just not understanding why others don’t love Jesus and see Him for all He is . . .not the enemy, not a made up fairy tale, not a task master out to spoil their fun. To love God and continue to shine that love He showers on us with others is the best way I know of too. God bless you and love on you today, as you share him and His light! deb

      Deb,
It’s hard to justify or prove Christ to someone who wants to be blind to the truth and no amount of evidence or reasoning will work until the Lord opens their eyes to His truths. I pray that we learn to pray before we serve Jesus so that His love might be well received and not try to battle man with paltry human wisdom that has no worth. Thank you once again for your encouraging words.

    Vineet,

    Very well said,
“How can the world not see the truth of Jesus Christ and His unconditional offer of perfect love and total forgiveness?”

The qualities of love, mercy and kindness, are the qualities which can bind an individual together in this world. Trust is a platform for even friendship, How many of our friends never believe us?

In this world where there is not much recognition for true love the life of the Lord has always been inspiring for me. i get lot of consolation reading your posts.
God will bless you always for what you are doing though this blog.
i hope to receive email intimations, ticked the button now…
Keep up the good work. My love and prayers.

      Priya,
God’s love is so amazing and we as His children feel blessed by knowing how much He loves us but yet we ourselves are not great recipients of it because we fail to show it well to the world around us and that is a challenge. I pray that we will learn to love the world like God loves us and to share His love through our lives. Thank you for the encouragement and I pray God’s blessings on you as you continue to live for Him.
      In Christ,
      Vineet
