Hebrews 6:17-20
God wouldn’t change his plan. He wanted to make this perfectly clear to those who would receive his promise, so he took an oath. God did this so that we would be encouraged. God cannot lie when he takes an oath or makes a promise. These two things can never be changed. Those of us who have taken refuge in him hold on to the confidence we have been given. We have this confidence as a sure and strong anchor for our lives. This confidence goes into the [holy] place behind the curtain where Jesus went before us on our behalf. He has become the chief priest forever in the way Melchizedek was a priest.

I’ve always wondered why courts around the world ask people to promise to speak the truth and then judge them based on what they speak. Someone or the other lies when in the paddock after taking an oath and therefore the exercise of making the person promise to tell the truth seems futile. Corruption and brokenness is a reality in our world and as much as we would like to deny its existence and live in a bubble, we cannot because the truth eventually comes out in the open and it is hard to deal with. People who make promises should be able to keep them and I for one am a failure in that area. I have made a billion promises and doubt that I managed to keep any but worse still is the fact that I don’t remember any that I have made. How can we then believe that God keeps promises He made and will continue to keep them?

The Bible is not just a book with 774,746 meaningless old words (KJV) but is actually God’s own living words. For God to have His words recorded and not live by them makes God seem foolish but that is not true because everything that God has spoken has come to pass or is about to happen. From the promise God made to Abraham that God would bless Abraham and give him many descendants to the promise of taking His faithful to be with Him for eternity, God stands by His word and can be trusted fully. Our confidence comes from the fact that God has spoken and can be held against His word to keep His promises for He has never failed. Therefore we can trust in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, who came to live among us, showed us what a perfect life really is, tore the curtain of sin that prevents us from communicating to God the Father by being a human sacrifice that sanctifies us and has promised to give those who put their trust in Him eternal life with Him and God the Father. Is God worth trusting with your life, heart and soul?

In His Loving Service,
ServantBoy

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

What a beautiful blessing to read this post Vineet…

God is no man.. for man is born in sin and lives life in sin and then he always blames God for his human errors which he makes in his life time.

God spoke to us through his precious WORD, through many prophets of the Old Testament and then still we were so doubtful that is why man is still in sin… We don’t believe GOD on his WORD.

Did not the disciples doubt the LORD JESUS ? and he had to show them the mark on his hands … where it was nailed…. I have read some of the best books and know the life of a few people who had been witness to the glory of GOD.

We have to take GOD just on his Word and believe that is FAITH… which can see things happen. Today, we may see a material, physical or even an emotional loss, bt still it does not mean that God is not working on our favor ….
I WILL ALWAYS BOW DOWN TO THE GOD, ALMIGHTY WHO HAS CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, AND THE WHOLE UNIVERSE AND THINGS WHICH ARE BEYOND HUMAN KNOWLEDGE….. Come what may.. the devil had and may test me… still i WILL SING AND PRAISE MY GOD FOR EVER AND EVER AS LONG AS I LIVE ON THIS EARTH IN THIS BODY…..
