Titus 3:1-5
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

As I meet more and more Bible believing Christians, I am beginning to sense how important our present time is. We live in a broken and hurting world and all around us, people are suffering in some form or the other. For some, it is physical, to some emotional, to some material. We just got back from a vacation on Vancouver Island and it was such a blessing to know that the owner of the bed and breakfast we stayed at was a passionate Christian who lived Christ every moment of her day. As we spoke, we realized how God has been using believers in present time to encourage each other and share God’s goodness to the world in ways like never before and this is completely spirit led. In these times of strife and disappointment, why is God encouraging us to remind people about being willing to be submit to those in authority, to be good to one another, to seek peace and be humble? Would the world not get us before we even try?

Before I encountered Jesus Christ, life was hard and I lived by the rules of this world. My motivations were of this world and it was ‘survival of the fittest’ in the crazy world out there. When I encountered Jesus, I was exposed to a world of peace and hope that I had never previously experienced. Christians who sincerely believed and followed Jesus Christ were not driven by the same world as I was and had a peace in them that no amount of money could ever buy. When we encounter Jesus by seeking Him, we have an opportunity to put behind us the brokenness of this world and our ever increasing guilt and replace it with His peace and joy. God wants us to first experience His love and then to share it with the world because there is hope that lives and that hope is Jesus Christ. I pray that you will seek Him and find your life filled by His joy and if you have found Him, that you will share the joy within you to the hurting and pained world out there.

In His Loving Service,
ServantBoy

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

    Vineet,
I really needed to read this scripture today, and it could not have been more appropriate for me. Living by the rules of the world lead to the ills of the world, yet like “a dog returning to his own vomit”, we must always be on guard to not go backwards into the world, but forward into Christ. I am glad you and your family had a great vacation. God Bless

      Jim,
It takes a lot for a man to submit and admit defeat and in you I see humility that can only come from one who has fully submitted himself to Christ’s supremacy. Thank you for encouraging me through your example and I pray that God will bless you as you earnestly seek Him.
      Blessings,
      Vineet
PS: Aren’t you scheduled to leave for your break in a few days? Off to the mountains with the family? Shall keep you covered that you come back refreshed and renewed!
