Romans 16:25-27
Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him—to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

What a fitting close to the book of Romans. Paul’s recommendation of key people of faith with a personalized note on each was so encouraging to read. Then his warning about people who cause Church divisions to serve themselves was appropriate and what I loved most was his closing benediction featured above. It speaks volumes and is so rich to reflect on and one of the anchors is the ‘mystery’ that Paul says was hidden for ages. What was this mystery?

This mystery was hidden from the start of mankind through the shadows of the ceremonial law, the dark predictions of the prophets that pointed at it, through the veil that Moses used to cover his fading glory, from the Jews and the Gentiles and even from the disciples of Jesus. This mystery was revealed after the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead – it was salvation for all mankind through Jesus’ shed blood. The veil is now torn and life and immortality are brought to light by the gospel. I hope you can celebrate with me the revelation of this mystery and celebrate the life of Jesus. Good Friday is good because without Christ’s death, there would be no resurrection and our hope of eternity in God’s presence would be lost!

In His Loving Service,

  1. Eden says:

“This mystery was hidden from the start of mankind through the shadows of the ceremonial law, the dark predictions of the prophets that pointed at it, through the veil that Moses used to cover his fading glory, from the Jews and the Gentiles and even from the disciples of Jesus.”

Very, very well said! Have a blessed Ressurection Day ServantBoy!

    In Him,

haha, I am laughing now, a glorified typist. You are a servant of God my friend, who also happens to type. God uses you to spread his word. Happy ressurection weekend to you my brother.

I’m a human in flesh and blood and pride seems to be a big part of me which is what I fight most. When I think of God and his glory, I’m so in awe that I feel like I’m not worth being even a crumb under His table and this is where I like to be. It is easy for me to get carried away by complements but in reality, when I look at my work for the Lord, I realize that it is not my own but the working of the Holy Spirit in my life and that is why I am happy to be a ‘Glorified Typist’ 😀 Wish you and your lovely family a Happy Resurrection weekend too. He is risen…

  3. Vineet,

The mystery was revealed on that day..Oh what a wonderful day…the day He resurrected and broke the chains of death..The day I accepted Him as my saviour, this mystery which was hidden from me was revealed to me too…so that I will inherit everything God has planned through His death and resurrection…What a previlege!!

And I loved what you said ‘Glorified typist’…Without Him , we would not have done something like this. When I read all the blogs that I follow, I sometimes tell Him, “You did a good job Holy Spirit”.

    God Bless You,

In recent weeks, I have had the pleasure of following sincere Christians bloggers including you, Gladwell, Jim, Martin, Anna, Robert and Eden and every post is incredible to me. There is never a post that is written with human wisdom when it concerns Jesus and therefore we are all nothing but ‘Glorified Typists’ because the Holy Spirit works in and through us. Unlike secular blogs that try to grow themselves in popularity, we are all working to share Jesus’ love for the world and our goal is to glorify Him through our service, not ourselves. Thank you for your words of encouragement and support and thank you for staying faithful in your walk and being a blessing to me and many.

  4. Vineet,

I will remember when tomorrow comes that I AM THE BEARER OF THE MYSTERY REVEALED. Yet…even though the world know and accept the fact that Jesus was part of this earth, this mystery which has been revealed to us…is still a stumbling block for those who are wise according to the standards of the world. But..I thank God for GOOD FRIDAY and all that it represents for us, the believers in Him.

    • ServantBoy says:

Once again, thank you for your pearls of wisdom. Good Friday is good because without it I would be BAD and I stand with you at Jesus’ cross praising Him for His goodness. Thank you for your support and love and blessings to you and your family as you celebrate our risen saviour, Jesus Christ.
